Harmonium Microphone Pick Up by Open To Source Sensors

Next Previous

Tired of hanging clunky microphones over your harmonium? Check out the world's very first plug and play internal microphone array / pick up system for harmonium!

How does it work? This incredibly simple system is comprised of three super high quality mini condenser microphones mounted in a rosewood strip that drops into the back of the keyboard and picks up the entire instrument faithfully and evenly with excellent isolation and very high volumes before feedback.

This system comes complete with a three foot cable and a high-headroom phantom powered preamp that is mounted inside a modified XLR

To install, place the array behind the Jaali (see photos), secure with velcro (optional), plug in, and play.

How did this amazing (and necessary) innovation come to be? It was originally developed by Open Source Sensors for touring artist David Stringer, and further refined for retail sale by Old Delhi Music. Each system is carefully manufactured, hand-wired and tested in the U.S.

What size do I need for my harmonium? The small size is 15.5 x 3/8 x 1/4 inches long - a perfect match for the popular Bhava Mini, Bina Mini, or just about any 2.5 octave or larger harmonium.
